Class routines and collection
Children in Year 5 may walk to and from school themselves, at the parents' discretion. Please let both the class teacher and the office know in writing if you are happy for your child to walk to school alone.
Children should bring their own water bottle each day, and take home each evening.
Year 5 children are collected from the Chandos gate, near the park.
Homework
Year 5 children are expected to learn weekly spellings, available on EdShed. These will be tested each week.
Children are also expected to complete Mathletics tasks, which are set weekly by the class teacher. These are used to support topics learned in class. Additionally, children are also asked to use Times Tables Rockstars, a platform for times tables games. Children will recieve rewards for their hard work on both of these platforms, and are celebrated in assembly.
